Santorini - The Destination is Love

Just a quick peek of some practice shots from last week, I’m going to enjoy editing Steven and Kenia’s wedding in the sun. When I’m home in Wintery England, they will warm me up. It’s been a steady 22-24 degrees and delightfull for a wedding. Apparently September /October is a lovely time, as Summer can get as hot as 40!

For the practice, we popped over in the golden hour light to a local church and stopped for one in the famous Santorini sunset.

The main wedding was at Le Ciel, see the image below. Stunning venue preached on the cliff, in the photo, you can see a talented videographer who used his local knowledge to take us to a stunning classic blue-roofed church, can’t wait to see the results.

I decided to stay and edit the past months’ weddings in Santorini. Taking a quick yesterday break while uploading photographs, my hotel has a slow connection. I took a boat trip to the volcanic center of the island and to the other island, that is where I discovered was created by the massive explosion of a supervolcano that blew up the entire island that was there, that used to be the home of over 300,000 people, one of the ancient civilisation of Greece.

One of my loves is traveling photography and capturing the little details, Santorini loves the color blue and it’s not surprising as the vista is sky and sea. Here is a snippet of the delights, hope you get a chance to visit soon.

Orchardleigh has the most beautiful small church on the estate where you can get married totally off grid, there is no electricity and no flash allowed, it makes for an intimate beautiful ceremony.

Nils & Sylvia, Wales

Welsh festival extravaganza in Fforest Farm over two days. in Cardigan, Wales. Nils & Sylvia decided to get married in a place that reminded them of their home countries of Germany and Poland. With friends and family traveling from far and wide, this location was perfect for the beautiful union of two people destined to be together. The venue included glamping (glamorous camping!), Fforest farm is a discovery experience with loads to explore and do, with Tipi’s, a small pub, pizza ovens, nature walks and permaculture and long with a converted farm house and pig styes transformed into holiday chalets. A suburb space where all are welcome, including dogs for guests to hand out, it was perfect opportunity to get natural pictures of the guests enjoying the farm. On this wedding I worked with London based Fine Art photographer Gin Fizz check her out! We are available for large wedding where you need two photographers.

I would like to share with you a wedding image of used for The Bristol Magazine's feature on Bristol Wedding Venues. Berwick Lodge put forward one of the images I took at Helen & Paul’s Wedding. I'm super excited to see it. Berwick Lodge is a fabulous location in Bristol to host a wedding, a photographer has great opportunities for pictures, open fields, secluded areas and beautiful gardens. I had another opportunity to photograph here last year and it was raining, inside gave loads of opportunities for images. Like this...
